Welcome to the Keys!

Dave and I were able to get away to the Keys this summer. We went with good friends of ours and had a great time! We missed the girls but they had their own vacation at Gram's.
We stayed in a beach house that was a block away from the ocean. The area we stayed in was very quiet. It is mostly for retired people and in the summer they come "here". A lot of the homes had their hurricane shudders on. That was comforting.
We spent a couple days day-tripping. One of those days we spent the whole time in Key West. It was a great place! SUPER hot. We saw Ernest Hemingways house, Naval Station, a couple cruise ships docked at the Port, Mile Marker Zero, chickens walking around EVERYwhere, Southernmost Point, and lots more! Beautiful area!!!!
Miami was pretty cool, too. We went to Miami Beach and it was gorgeous. Miles of light colored sand and one topless girl. Yup-we witnessed it. It was quite disturbing....the guys SAY they didn't see her....mmmm hmmmmm. And as a side note...."they" weren't real. You gals know what I'm talkin about.
We were wondering if we would see any tapings of CSI:Miami. Just a lot of lost souls.
First Day of PreSchool

Rewind for second.....
She went to Vacation Bible School over the summer and loved it. I thought my heart was being ripped out of my chest the first day I dropped her off. Emma, on the other hand, said "Ta Ta for now Mommy". Ok-she's a well rounded kid. Praise the Lord. Off she went and had a blast while Katelyn and Mommy had a long day. We had fun but Katelyn and I missed Emma. Katelyn would ask for her and when we went to pick Emma up, they both ran to each other. It was like a movie in slow motion. It blessed my heart! It was easier the next day. I loved it how Emma ran to Kate and I. It was pure and so sweet! I don't get that often because I'm with them all the time. Now, when Daddy comes home from work-they run after him and it's like a party every night at 5:30pm for him.
SO...all of that to say-today was easy for all of us.
Emma knew 3 other kids in her class already and that was comforting. One of her little boy friends( Yes-Emily-YOUR kid) was making funny faces at her "all day". I asked her if she paid attention to the teacher and she said "Well, Mommy, he WAS making funny faces". Ok, we'll work on that :)

New to this!
What is next? End world hunger? Eh, one step at a time!
I have been reading my friends blogs, and it is so fun and inspiring to jot memories down.
Be patient with me....I have never done this. I'll get the hang of it so if anyone has suggestions let me know.
